K1 chairlift

“K1” is the world's first 8-seater chairlift of the latest D-Line generation from cable car manufacturer Doppelmayr in Wolfurt/Austria. As another unique feature, different chair types are used in summer and winter operation.

The “Köhlerhagen / K1” chairlift, which opened in December 2018 in the Willingen ski resort, is the largest ropeway project in the Sauerland to date - and is also the first D-Line 8-seater chairlift in Germany.

During the summer months, the ski area is transformed into the “Bikepark Willingen” - a real mountain bike Eldorado. Special chairs equipped with the innovative “BikeClips” from Doppelmayr are used so that bikers can reach the Köhlerhagen in comfort. The solid, ingenious mechanics and design ensure maximum safety and comfort for the transportation of bikes and bikers.
