The latest attraction in Rotenburg is a unique experience and offers a total of 11 ball tracks for fun and games for the whole family over a distance of 2.2 km. It is used with printed wooden balls, which can be purchased from vending machines at four starting points. More info >>

STAND UP PADDLING

FAMILIEN-ESCAPE-GAME
Team spirit, creativity and logical thinking in nature - solve a special case in the Escape Forest with the whole family according to the concept of Escape Games. All the equipment is provided for this challenging adventure. In this adventure, you find yourself in the year 1696 and have to solve a case to free the musician Johann Anton Coburg.
BRAACH CLIMBING FOREST
Grow beyond yourself - on the courses in the climbing garden you can seek out special challenges, gain new experiences and, last but not least, have fun. From surfboards to rope slides and various jumps - adrenaline is pre-programmed here. The family card also makes it ideal for an excursion with the whole family.
THE MIDDLE FULDA VALLEY CRAFT EXPERIENCE ROUTE
Interesting life stories, charming farms, real craftsmen and exciting hands-on activities - all this is promised by the Craft Experience Route in the Middle Fulda Valley. In addition, you can visit numerous events organized by the participating businesses - usually without having to register.

BAD HERSFELD FESTIVAL
Every summer from the end of June to the end of August, Germany's most famous and charming open-air summer theater takes place in the cultural and festival town of Bad Hersfeld (approx. 20 minutes by car). Every year, the Bad Hersfeld Festival surprises its visitors with world premieres, musicals and unique plays. The imposing abbey ruins with the green festival park are a particular delight for young and old alike.
BREITENBACH LAKES
The beautiful Breitenbach Lakes are located near Bebra - just 10 minutes from Rotenburg. They are the largest lake area in Waldhessen and offer a wide range of leisure activities: Hiking, cycling, inline skating, sailing & surfing, beach volleyball or pedal boating.
KNÜLL WILDLIFE PARK NATURE CENTER
The 50-hectare wildlife park is the ideal family excursion destination in the Knüllgebirge. The free-roaming stags and deer cross the paths of visitors time and again.

The “Rodenberg Erlebniswelt” at Göbel's Hotel Rodenberg offers an extensive range of leisure activities, most of which can be used free of charge. Versatile gastronomy, a huge range of wellness and sports facilities, unlimited bathing fun in the “Rodenberg SPA”, mega-strong play attractions in the indoor and outdoor play park “KOALA Kids World”, a game reserve nearby, the “Rodenberg Alm” and fun adventure highlights for the whole family on the bowling alley, on the Fulda or in the surrounding area are waiting to be discovered.

Solve exciting puzzles, follow important clues, find and assemble objects in the dark and much more. - These are the tasks that have to be completed in the Escape Room in order to solve the case and find the way out of the room! Work together in groups - the focus here is on team building and fun!

BEBRA RAILROAD MUSEUM IN THE HISTORIC WATER TOWER
Marvel at the tower with its spherical steel tank for huge quantities of water and imagine how steam locomotives were supplied with water for propulsion in the past. Inside the water tower, you can find out more about its historical uses. It is also home to the Railway Museum, which reminds visitors of the former importance of Bebra as a long-distance rail hub in the era of ICE trains. During the museum's opening hours, narrow-gauge museum trains run every quarter of an hour on a route around the museum and to the “Weiterode-West” stop 900 m away. The latter route demonstrates how miners once entered the mine.
MERKERS ADVENTURE MINE
As well as gaining an insight into a modern mining company, visitors can learn interesting facts about the history of potash mining. The 2.5-hour “underground” adventure tour offers exciting stops, such as the unique “crystal grotto”.
