The family-run 3-star superior Brauhaus zum Löwen is located in the middle of the historic old town of Mühlhausen. Here you can enjoy pure ENJOYMENT far away from the hustle and bustle and treat yourself to some TIME OUT from the everyday routine.

The central location of the hotel allows a larger number of leisure opportunities – whether EXPLORATION tours or simply STROLLS through the tradition-steeped half-timbered town, hiking, cycling, trips into the surrounding area and the Hainich National Park. Here you can experience your own DREAMHOLIDAY in line with your tastes.

The cosy hotel emits mediaeval flair with its time-honoured HALF-TIMBER. At the same time, it offers high living comfort with 103 spacious comfort rooms. There is a special atmosphere of WELLBEING here with rustic wood tones and warm colours that emit COSINESS and have a very inviting effect.

As beer is still home-brewed here, the brewing tradition can be experienced up-close. At the cosy restaurant “Malztenne”, enjoy home-style cooking right beside the brewing kettles, where the “Brauhaus Pilsener” and the “Apotheker Dunkel” are brewed according to the bottom-fermented brewing method. A highlight is the BREWERY TOUR conducted by the master brewer with the subsequent BEER-TASTING SESSION. You can banquet in mediaeval fashion in the quaint vaulted cellar and in the summer it is BEER GARDEN TIME. Dance, music and a bar atmosphere are the order of the day at the hot spot “Leo”, with its really cosy, rustic atmosphere.

In addition to regional and Fairtrade products and energy-efficient equipment, we focus particularly on ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS. Rent Riese & Müller e-bikes (German bike manufacturer) in our hotel according to availability and for a fee (30 € per day) or charge your electric car at one of our charging stations (carry suitable charging cable).
